AARP Chapters Trademark Policy:

All AARP Chapters are responsible for any misuse of AARP’s logos and trademarks, including on AARP-branded items.  AARP Chapters are permitted to use the AARP trademarks on items without obtaining approval from AARP if the items will not be sold.  Written approval must be obtained from AARP for any item that will be sold.  Commercial vendors are not permitted to use AARP trademarks on any item unless AARP has licensed them the right to use those marks.  AARP Chapters must use appropriate notification of the trademark rights or registration on all visual displays of the AARP trademarks, including use of the encircled “R” symbol (“®”) and/or the letters TM or SM, as appropriate.  Should AARP find objectionable any use of the AARP trademarks by an AARP Chapter, AARP shall have the right to revoke the rights granted to use the AARP trademarks for that purpose, and the AARP Chapter shall immediately cease using the AARP trademarks in the manner found objectionable by AARP.  Contact AARP with any questions regarding the trademark policy or to obtain permission to use trademarked images.
